VODA is currently progressing the idea of a trustee network. 

They are also trying to organise a training programme around workforce development - the programme will be available here shortly.

Also in the area is Working Together Tyne & Wear.  This is a sub-regional learning consortium (voluntary sector) established over 2 years ago in response to the LSC's "Working Together" document. It is a non constituted informal partnership of organisations with an interest in learning. Their programme of learning is delivered through WTTW partner organisations which develops the capacity of smaller organisations to manage contracts. Their website can be found at www.wttw.org.uk
