A trustee support network for VCS organisations in Bath & North East Somerset.
The Trustees' Network meets every 2 months, usually in the evenings. A guest speaker starts proceedings and sets the scene for discussion, which is followed by informal networking.
Members who do not attend meetings still receive the regular newsletters, alerting them to changes in legislation, events they may like to attend, training courses, information on the 'Develop -Enhancing Community Support' website and feedback from the Trustees' Network meetings.
Paula facilitates these activities and can visit trustee boards to discuss their needs.

Forthcoming Meetings and Events
Tuesday 26 January 2010 6.15-8pm Trustees’ Network Meeting
at Bath YMCA. In response to popular request, Paula has invited an accountant from Moore Stephens to talk about charity accounting, particularly recent changes. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, so please invite your treasurer, if they don’t usually come along to these meetings.
Final Trustees Network Meeting
Tuesday 23 March 2010 6.15-8pm
This will be the last meeting before Paula's post ends, so she hopes to see as many of you as possible. We will launch your new website, which will bring together information which can help you to be an effective trustee and you will hear how DEVELOP can support you in the future. There will be plenty of time for networking, while you enjoy a buffet supper.
Please put the date in your diary.
Previous Meetings
We had a lively and enjoyable event at Bath YMCA on 25 November, when Bette Baldwin, a licensed PQASSO mentor explained how quality systems can help to improve the management of our organisations and delivery of services.
She described the benefits of PQASSO and the practical step-by-step approach to implementing it.
You can learn more about it by going to http://www.ces-vol.org.uk/ and clicking on PQASSO. You can download ‘A brief guide for voluntary and community organisations' and if your funders are not familiar with the PQASSO standard, there is ‘A Brief Guide for Funders and Commissioners. The site also answers key questions about PQASSO and signposts you to local mentors.
Bette Baldwin's website is http://www.richmond-services.co.uk/
